Associated Press coverage - IT's OFFICIAL - Barack Obama asks Joseph Biden of Deleware to be his Vice President running mate in the 2008 election. The Obama Campaign sent a text message to their mailing list late last night revealing his choice, then posted it on the official Barack Obama Campaign site. CNN broke the story from inside sources shortly before the revelation was official. Today, Barack Obama and Joseph Biden will appear together to announce their joint candidacy in person. They will hold the ralley at the old capitol building in Springfield, Illinois... the same place where Obama announced he was running for president of the United Sates.
